The Security and Safety Center is a municipal alarm center that is staffed around the clock, year-round. We handle fire alarms, burglary alarms, security alarms, personal alarms, as well as on-call and standby services. Robust technology provides high capacity for many connections and enables new working methods. We collaborate with other municipal alarm centers in the country and can operate even during societal disturbances and crises.
The Security and Safety Center (TSC) is located at the Rescue Service in Boden.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Unit Manager for the Security and Safety Center, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and following up on the unit's operations. You are responsible for:
- Strategic development of the alarm center's services, processes, and technical systems.
- Operational responsibility to ensure that alarm reception and monitoring function around the clock with high quality.
- Personnel and work environment responsibility for the unit, including staffing, schedule planning, competence development, and work environment efforts.
- Collaboration with internal and external actors such as rescue services, home care, property management, SOS Alarm, collaborating municipalities, and technical suppliers.
- Quality and safety work, including risk analyses, deviation management, and follow-up of routines.
- System management of central alarm and monitoring systems.
- Participation in the municipality's crisis preparedness, blue light collaboration, and development of total defense.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this role, we are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant academic degree from a university, at least 180 credits, or other education combined with several years of managerial experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in leadership roles, preferably within critical societal operations and/or 24-hour operations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good technical understanding and ability to manage technical systems related to alarms, operational alarms, security alarms, or monitoring.
- Ability to work systematically with routines, quality work, and follow-up.
We consider it meritorious if you:
- Have experience working in an alarm center, security operations, monitoring environments, blue light operations, or other 24-hour operations.
- Have work experience from the security industry or a security-related profession.

With a coaching and attentive approach, you build trust, collaborate well, and contribute to a good work environment.
You have good analytical skills, see patterns, and make wise priorities based on risk and consequences. You are structured, judicious, and have high integrity with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and respectfully, even in pressured situations.
Employment with us means placement in a security class. A security review with a background check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
